Anyone should go light to begin, some don’t tolerate it well, but those that do seem to love it.
People who had a workout routine before starting VLCD (never want to ADD exercise other than light cardio) I recommend 1-2 teaspoonfuls of MCT oil prior to working out… since the medium chained triglycerides are treated more like carbs it gives an energy boost. I often feel a slight increase in body heat after taking some. (thermogenic effect)

I don’t know if this is a coincidence or not, but:
The first night, I held off and didn’t eat all that much. I lost .2 pounds the next morning.
The next night, I lost a little bit of control and ate a lot lol. Lost .6.
Yesterday I ate the whole effin thing (I know I’m a cow) and I lost 1.2 this morning.
I don’t know if it’s the chocolate or just HCG but I’ve been getting energy. I’ve NEVER had this much before. It’s amazing! (^_^)

^.^; I don’t know what I did but in mine you can really taste the unsweetened cocoa…I think maybe I should have put more stevia….I think I used something like 15 drops.
Anyways it’s still yummy if you put a piece in your mouth and then take a bite of a strawberry. Then it just tastes like yummy chocolate and strawberry. So yummy! (^_^)

Would try approx one tablespoonful to begin with and see how you tolerate it. If it works, can do 2 tbsp per day in addition to the 500 cals.
Still running about 90% well tolerated, the treat adding the mac nuts is running at 70%. As with ANY off protocol food items – suggest trying a little, see what the scales tell you the next day – and continue from there.

No, for this you’d need to gently warm the oil to above 75 degrees to make it liquid.. the crisco consistency works great for the mock turtles or to use for dipping strawberries, or breadsticks in (kind of like a choc covered pretzel) – as shown in the video response.

OK I tried this and got my ketones up to trace and lost 2.5 pounds! I ate 2/3 of the batch and added blended strawberries as a dip. Just like chocolate covered strawberries. Although, I don’t think I used enough stevia…. the whole reason I added strawberries is because it still tasted like unsweetened cocoa! Brought up ketones though!!!! Wish I knew how/why it works!!!

YOU got me going on the chocolate delight! OMG so good. I used 2 packets of stevia to sweeten it. I made it and then my husband arrived w/ fresh strawberries. What a great combo! He and I ate the whole thing. I will let you know how I do in the morning. It’s all your fault and HCGlooser’s either way! LOL!

I tried it on P2 only lost .2 pounds. Checked ketones before bed and was NEG. Checked in the next morning. 1st pee of the day and ketones were at trace. Thay had not changed from any other day. Maybe I didnt eat enough. I dont think I was to do this on P2 again.

Okay, it is very yummy. Although I used stevia for the sweetener – which left a bitter aftertaste (it does that with some foods). So next time I will use xylitol and see how it turns out. But most importantly – my ketones were up, and I had dropped a pound – and I am in P4! So this recipe will definitely be in my P2 arsenal from now on. Thanks Tim!

This is awesome, Tim! I’ve mixed it just now and popped it in the fridge. I’ll have it for a bedtime snack and measure my ketones tomorrow morning, then I will report back. Even tho I am on P4 now, I am interested to see what happens, because I have one last round to do to lose my last 10 of 70 lbs total. (My husband and I were among the folks that used coconut oil daily in all our P2s with excellent results.)
