i made mine in a bowl and it didnt go over the edge or anyting it tastes amazing and i used a packet of swiss miss hot coacoa mix and it still turned out great.

please be aware with this recipe if you are going to do it for 3 minutes this is for 1000watt microwaves i have actually made it in a 1100watt microwave so if you have a 1100watt microwave you may need to reduce the power to 90% than the default 100%. Or just adjust it accordingly to how powerful your microwave is.
